Did you know that you can rent the Handi-Quilter (HQ) at the store?
Imagine having your top quilted by the end of the day! (It is sheer joy!)
On Saturday November 10, Lori Cosby will be demonstrating the Handi-Quilter. Come to the store and see what the HQ can do for you. The cost for this class is $25.00.
We offer HQ lessons for $75.00 (price subject to change without notice). The lesson usually lasts about 4 hours. We ask that you bring a small top to quilt or some "sacrifice" material to do your quilting on. Having a smaller piece to work on will ensure that you have it quilted by the end of the 4 hours (assuming everything goes as planned). You also need to bring backing, batting, and quilting thread. Most of the supplies can be purchased at the store. Please call the store to sign up.
After you have completed a lesson you are "eligible" to rent the machine. We need to be assured that you know what you are doing. The cost for renting the machine is $35.00/hour (price subject to change without notice). This does not include the time it takes you to set up your quilt. So let's say you have a twin size quilt and you are using the groovy boards (quilting templates that a stylus attached to the machine moves in) and everything runs smoothly. Let's say it takes you six hours. That's $210.00 plus tax! The best part is that you did it ALL. You still have to do the binding of course. Call the store to set aside a day of quilting.
Handi-Quilter has introduced the "Pro-Stitcher" this is a computer module that
you attach to the HQ machine. You can create your own quilting designs, manipulate designs etc. Check the link above for more information.

Stack-n-Whack Class - November 3rd
Our favorite Stack-N-Whack teacher is conducting a class on Bethany Reynolds' famous technique! Yay! Anna Lawing is teaching the class on November 3 at 9am-12pm. The cost of this class is $30. Please stop by the store to sign/pay for the class. (You may want to act fast on this one).

12 Weeks of Giving
